This'll be a 3 day event. May 26, 27, and 28. And we'll be playing on the finals night which will obviously be on the last night: the 28th! Come come! Tickets are at P199. :))
Both my bands will be playing on this event (Hymn of Siren and The Bestidas)! Together with some other really good bands too like our fellow Nescafe Soundskool finalists SOTC and Hotsi Patootsi! GO GO GO! :p
I was organizing my iTunes playlists this morning when I suddenly came upon one of them that I have totally been neglecting! It's entitled "Ash's Faves", and I found out it still contains all the songs that somehow encapsulated everything I was feeling all throughout high school. When I started listening to one of the songs, I swear I felt the most nostalgic I've ever been in months. My chest tightened itself to the point that I couldn't breathe right as I recalled everything I ever went through during those four years, and how all of you have been there to go through all of it with me. *aww sniff sniff* HAHA

Thanks to our families and friends who went to watch us play in the SSS last night, to those who cheered for us, and to those who went but didn't even bother to go inside and watch us. It hurts, but thanks na rin. Heehee just kidding. :) Without you guys, we wouldn't have won 1st place. So thank you. :) And thanks to the producer as well. :)

Ahh wait, before going on to that...
We had a Deathnote photoshoot earlier yesterday. Me and the other ID people. Naks! Feeling ID na ako ah LOL! Wala pa, 1 month pa before college. Anyway, that was from around 8AM to 4PM. It was super hot! And to think most of us had to wear black! And I had leather pants on!!! And there were times when we had to stay under the sun!!! Yup, Deathnote talaga. WE WERE WEARING OUR DEATH COSTUMES!! Yeah. Wanna see some pics? 1. 2. 3. Click on those. :)
Gosh was I really exhausted after that. So after all of it, the gang went to Starbucks Rockwell to give ourselves a break. I also dressed up there na rin for the gig. After Starbucks, at around 5:30PM, they dropped me off at Pier 1. Then the battle was brought on! =))
Battle of the bands ah. Heheh. :) Met up with the girls there. We kind of had the butterflies 'cause we didn't practice for this. We didn't even know what to play! Hahah pasaway Bestidas. Tsk tsk. Anyway, we decided to play Carousel and Lady Marmalade. And we sucked. For me ah. It's my honest opinion, so don't think I'm really fishing for compliments. =)) LESSON LEARNED: Practice right before a gig. As in before going to the gig itself. Or the day before. Especially if the members suffer from short term memory loss. LOL.
The other bands were great too. I especially liked the performance of Saving Ashley. As always. Naks. And shempre, kapangalan ko. Haha just kidding. :)) I liked their original song, na LSS ako. Haha!
Then there was this band called Keno turns Pink. Kenosis and Pink Salad Days put together I think. They were good. They had a violinist as sexy as her S-shaped violin! Hahaha LOL pero astig astig. :p
There. Those were a few of the many memorable things that happened. :p
Okay, then the announcement came:

Which turned out wrong. One of the judges made a mistake in computing the scores. Nabawasan kami ng 10 points! Haha!! So yeah, here's the revised list of winners:

We won 2nd. :) so, off to the finals on June 8. And Hymn of Siren might be playing as a guest band on the 2nd elims which is on May 26. Catch us whenever? :)

I've decided to use this blog instead of my blogger blog. I guess it's just ridiculously inconvenient to maintain another blog site if this multiply site also has a blogging tool. :p
Okay, I know. It's kind of stupid not to have thought of that before. But...yes. I can get stupid sometimes. :))
WELL ANYWAY. What have I been up to this summer?
So far, all I have been doing are composing new songs, trying out the new music programs I had my cool pro musikero tito install in my pc, watching The OC DVDs, reading Gossip Girl and A-List books, chatting...and...yep. I guess that's it.
I've been DYING to go to the beach though. It's like...I hear the waves calling me, you know? Haha one big WHUT. But seriously, I've eversince been dreaming about living in a house by the beach, sitting on the warm sand, diving under the clear water, surfin' the huge waves, someday getting married in a church there...you know, fun and sentimental stuff. :))
Demmit. I just wanna go to the beach. Hahahahaha. :))
By the way, The Bestidas has done it again! Haha. We won 1st place at the Urband Battle last March 27, 2007. Another 15k baby! Heheh. :)
